sandra c. lapham, md, mph, dfasam

​Dr. Lapham is a board-certified specialist in internal and addiction medicine and a senior scientist at the pacific instiute for research and evaluation. Her research has focused on such areas as interventions for substance-abusing populations; screening and treating people with addictive disorders and other health problems; and testing new pharmaceuticals to treat medical and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Lapham has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of health and addiction. she founded the New Mexico based Behavioral health research center of the southwest in 1997 that in its first twenty years has made significant contributions towards helping educate the public about behavioral health issues.

thomas h. prettyman, phd

Thomas H. Prettyman (Ph.D.) is a planetary scientist specializing in chemical remote sensing using instrumentation deployed on spacecraft.  He is a Senior Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute and Adjunct Professor at the University of New Mexico Department of Earth and Planetary Science.  He has served on several NASA planetary missions, including Lunar Prospector, 2001 Mars Odyssey, and Dawn. Dr. Prettyman  is passionate about education and public outreach, and has led many New Mexico outreach activities including seminars, lectures, and workshops for students, parents, and teachers from native American communities. He is Guest Curator of a Dawn exhibit at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.

courtney m. lapham-simpson, md

Dr. Lapham-simpson is a faculty member of the University of New mexico's school of medicine in the department of emergency medicine. She has participated in numerous charitable projects both in New mexico and abroad, including Honduras and ghana.
